Designing text - embossing correctly
To ensure text is displayed beautifully, it's not just about designing it correctly in CAD; choosing the right slicer settings is also crucial for optimal results.
Choosing the Right Font
The first important step is choosing the right font, as fine details are often difficult to print, or overlapping elements will cause errors in the software. Therefore, it's always essential to check beforehand whether the font will be embossed correctly.
Secondly, it's important to keep in mind which nozzle you'll be using to print the object, as the nozzle diameter determines how narrow the narrowest areas can be printed.
Emboss Direction
Should the text be raised or engraved?
Emboss Depth
The second step is choosing how deep the text should be embossed, because too shallow and the text is barely legible, or too deep and the text looks odd and takes an extremely long time to print.
