My good friend Alex built a scale model of a Pinzgauer from styrene, aluminum, and steel, and then equipped it with an electric motor and remote control to participate in trial competitions. When 3D printing came along, I asked him what he thought about 3D printing the body. He simply said, "Then just draw it yourself; I already have all the dimensions in a DWG file." No sooner said than done, and a week later I had the first version of the Pinzgauer.

Description

From time to time, I work on and refine the model, but so far I haven't gotten around to optimizing and printing it for 3D printing. The goal is to cut the Pinzgauer into sections so that it can be easily printed without any visible edges. To make the model more stable and easier to assemble, it will have plug-in connections so that it can be easily glued or screwed together. If I'm satisfied with the model, I'll consider selling it as a 3D print kit if there's interest.
